Hayley orrantia was born and raised in the US. She's primarily an actor, however she is also a singer and songwriter. She is most famous for her role as Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy series "The Goldbergs". But she is primarily an avid music fan. According to her, music is always been her primary passion. As she grew to the age of 12 the music she was playing took on a serious nature and she began to train professionally. When she was 13 She began to write herself songs. The first album she released as a cover wasn't released until 14 years after. And the rest is history. Orrantia is a native of the USA but has Hispanic origins. Despite the fact that she only spoke English throughout her childhood and not been to Mexico, Orrantia is extremely proud of her Hispanic origins. To keep the tradition, she's studied Spanish and has written songs using the language. One such song is "Hasta Verte," which was recorded by her in Spanish. Orrantia was selected to audition for The X Factor's first season in the summer of the year 2011. Orrantia was chosen as a result of an YouTube video submission and received four "yes" vote from the judge in the live audition stage at Seattle, Washington. Though she initially auditioned on her own at "Hollywood Week" the singer, along with three female performers were placed in groups for the remaining part of auditions. The live performances were held in the 5th week.
