Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. She has released more than 20 albums. DiFranco's songs are classified as folk and alternative rock. They also are influenced by hip-hop as well as jazz, and punk. Ani Difranco has been deemed as a feminist icon as well as a Grammy award-winning. Being one of the women's first artists of the 90s, she founded her own label. DiFranco was a born on the 23rd of September, 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Dante Americo DiFranco. The parents of her mother and father were both of Montreal descent. Ani diFranco wrote and performed the track 32 Flavors. The song debuted in 1995 on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl. One version of this song can be heard in the film Canadian romantic movie Better Than Chocolate. In 2013, DiFranco apologized when it was discovered that she would be hosting the three-day event at a former Louisiana plantation for slaves. The workshop was cancelled, however many (including the author of this article) were not able to sense any regret. DiFranco offered a second apology a few days later. She is known for her Little Folksinger style, but she's worked with many different genres and artists that range from Pete Seeger to Chuck D. New Orleans is where she is based. Ani DiFranco is with Kristen Ford. When she was 14, she had begun creating her own music. She played them at caf s and bars through her teenage years. DiFranco began attending Buffalo State College when she was 16 years old. She earned her degree from in the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts in the year she was 16.
